SANBI does not directly confer BSc Honours degrees but Honours projects can be done at SANBI in collaboration with various departments at the UWC or other Research Institutes such as the African Institute for Mathematical Studies. Students also have to adhere to rules and regulations set out by the University of the Western Cape. Full Details

MSc Bioinformatics

SANBI offers a research MSc in Bioinformatics. The programme consists of a combination of research and some coursework where required. Courses are taken within the University and can also be taken at other sites. Full Details

PhD Bioinformatics

The PhD programme at SANBI is well-established and alumni of this programme are now working all over South Africa and at Bioinformatics research sites around the world. Full Details

Post Doctoral Research

Postdoctoral fellows are admitted to the research programme after consultation with the potential supervisor, and their admittance has to be approved by SANBI Faculty. Full Details
