Research Projects
As a new research group, our interests lie in the area of genomics focusing on identification of genetic abnormalities driving the genesis and progression of human cancer, using bioinformatics. The group is working on developing bioinformatics pipelines, and applying RNA-Seq and Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) methods in analysing different
types of cancer including; Neuroblastoma, Acute Myloid Leukemia and Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma.
The group works with external collaborators to identify the role of integrated viral DNA in oesophageal cancer by using WGS combined with ERVCaller tool.
